Sub: -   Filling up of Postmaster Grade-II and Postmaster Grade-III posts in the Circle-Reg

Ref: -   Directorate Lr.No.4-43/2013-SPB-II dated 28.04.2016

Sir

            Please refer to the Directorate letter cited above on the subject where in the competent authority had approved to fill up the Postmaster Grade-II and III posts by relaxing the service conditions mentioned therein. The conditions for relaxation of service conditions are mentioned in the above letter under reference.

            Therefore it is requested to fill up all the posts of Postmaster Grade-II and Postmaster Grade-III posts in the circle in the light of above order and the vacant posts of Postmaster Grade-I posts may please be identified for the examination for filling up immediately so that they are benefitted.

RELAXATION OF ELIGIBILITY IN SERVICE CONDITION FOR PROMOTION TO THE CADRE OF  POSTMASTER (GR-II)  AND   POSTMASTER (GR-III) :

Now  Postmaster (gr-I) requires 6 years of service to Grade-II promotion. Postmaster (gr-II) requires 5 years of regular service for PM (gr-III) .  It was relaxed by the dept. in connection with acute shortage. Now dept. entering in to CBS roll and other on line services. The head of the office i.e. Postmasters role is very important . This is identified the dept. and taken up welcoming decision.

1.     The relaxation is one year

2.     If relaxation  required for more than one year the promotion is  not  regular (PM grade-I with 5 years service get regular promotion . 3 years or more service will get Promotion but not treated as regular. PM Grade with 4 years get promotion, 2 1/2 year service get promotion but not treated as regular. 

3.     The relaxation method is by promotion  only from present cadre.

 DOP- Finacle (CBS)  and Mc Camish  problems are facing by the Postal staff .  On this issue  AIPEU  staff conducted a Dharna in front of  the  Divisional office, Bhimavaram, A.P. circle on 12.04.2016.
