  తెలంగాణ సంస్కృతి, సంప్రదాయాలను ప్రతిబింబించే బతుకమ్మపై పోస్టల్ స్టాంప్ విడుదల కోసం కృషి చేస్తానని టీఆర్ఎస్ ఎంపీ కల్వకుంట్ల కవిత తెలిపారు. గురువారం స్టేట్ ఆర్ట్ గ్యాలరీలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన ఆర్ట్ ఎగ్జిబిషన్ ను ఆమె ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆమె మాట్లాడుతూ బతుకమ్మ పండుగలోపే పోస్టల్ స్టాంప్ విడుదల కోసం ప్రయత్నిస్తామని చెప్పారు. మహిళల్లో సృజనాత్మకత, కళాత్మాకతకు ప్రపంచానికి చాటి చెప్పేది బతుకమ్మ పండుగ అని అన్నారు. కళలు గుర్తించి గౌరవించడంలో తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం ఎప్పుడూ ముందుందని గుర్తు చేసిన ఆమె...మహిళా చిత్రకారులను ప్రోత్సహించేందుకు 'ఇంటర్నెషనల్ ఆర్ట్ ఫెస్టివల్ ఫర్ విమెన్' ను నవంబర్ మొదటివారంలో నిర్వహిస్తామని వెల్లడించారు. TRS MP K. Postal Dept to recruit 55,000 gramin dak sevaks  said by BVS

 HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 16:  

The Departments of Posts plans to recruit around 55,000 Grameen Dak Sevaks through online mode in November, B.V Sudhakar, Secretary, Department of Posts, said.

Addressing a Press Conference here on Friday, Sudhakar informed that the software required for online recruitment is at the testing stage and the online method will ensure transparency in this recruitment.

In order to address the grievances of the postal customers, the National Service Call Centre - 1924 - was launched on September 12, 2016. Customers can call from any network to this number and they will be given a unique 11-digit ticket ID to check the status of their complaint. Nearly 98 per cent grievances and complaints were resolved, he said in a statement.

Post Payment Bank

Explaining about the Post Payment Bank, he said the focus will be on Government to customer services by providing services like Direct Benefits Transfer, which could also be helpful in the financial inclusion. There will be no lending to the customers and deposits can be made up to Rs. 1 lakh.

Total 650 branches of post payment bank will be set up by May 2017 and nearly one lakh employees will work on this set up, he added.

Solar power

Sudhakar also informed to harness solar power, 4000 Postal buildings across country will utilize solar power in the coming days. To start with Postal Department headquarters at New Delhi will install Solar Power panels which can save up to Rs. 17 lakh of monthly power bill. ×

The business across Postal services registered growth with 3.8% growth in unregistered postal traffic, 6% in registered posts, 7.3% in Speed Post, 6.8% in savings banks mobilization and 25% growth in Philately, during 2015-16 as against 2014-15, he said.

Postal Department achieved business of Rs. 14, 900 crore as against planned target of Rs. 14, 600 crore, he added.

7th Pay Commission: Govt employees to get revised allowances from Oct 1; committee to submit report this week

New Delhi: Government employees will have a real festive bonanza this year. As per media reports, central government employees will get the revised allowances as per recommendations made by 7th Pay Commission from October 1.

The Committee on Allowances under the chairmanship of Union Secretary, Finance (Expenditure) had on September 1 met with representatives of the Central government unions.  The committe is expected to give its reports on revised allowance to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley this week.  On July 22, the Committee on Allowances was set up to decide on revision of allowance as Justice A K Mathur panel had earlier recommended abolition of 51 allowances and subsuming 37 others. “The 7th Pay Commission examined a total of 196 existing allowances and, by way of rationalization, recommended abolition of 51 allowances and subsuming of 37 allowances. Given the significant changes in the existing provisions for allowances which may have wide ranging implications, the Cabinet decided to constitute a Committee headed by Finance Secretary for further examination of the recommendations of 7th CPC on allowances," a press release issued by the government after the Cabinet approval to Pay Commission recommendations had said.

The government has notified a 2.57-time hike in basic salary for 1 crore government employees and pensioners as per the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. The pay hike has been made effective January 1, 2016.//zeenews.india.com//

Model of Holiness' Mother Teresa Officially Becomes Saint :

Mother Teresa, revered for her work with the poor in India, has been proclaimed a saint by Pope Francis in a ceremony at the Vatican. Francis said St Teresa had defended the unborn, sick and abandoned, and had shamed world leaders for the "crimes of poverty they themselves created".  Tens of thousands of pilgrims attended the canonisation in St Peter's Square. Two miraculous cures of the sick after Mother Teresa's death in 1997 have been attributed to her intercession. In India, a special Mass was celebrated at the Missionaries of Charity, the order she founded in Kolkata (Calcutta).

The greatest and grandest leader of our Andhra Pradesh Jananetha YS Rajasekhara Reddy had lost his life while going to Rachabanda program to serve the people in an accident and is no longer with us today. He was the symbol of statesmanship, administration, and compassion for poor. His legend grew with each passing day, ever since he entered politics at the age of 28 in 1978 and straight away became an MLA.

After being a key minister in successive governments, he went in to political wilderness for a few years. But never did he leave the hearts of the masses. They adored him either he is in power or not. Hero worship of YSR grew to such an extent that people would feel to be honored to be present in his public meetings. Most families keep his photo on their walls, along with deities. All villages, towns and cities have his multiple statues and named their streets and junctions in his name. People love him, more than their own siblings, lot of times. He earned each and every heart and soul with his heart and soul. He does not have a caste, a creed or a religion. He belongs to each and every one of us. We all miss him dearly. But his image does not leave our minds and hearts.
