NO PROPOSAL TO INCREASE RETIREMENT AGE TO 62 YEARS

 A hot news is coming from Zee News that DoPT has not been working on any proposal to increase the retirement age to 62 from 60 years for Central Government Employees.  A senior official from DoPT has confirmed the above news to media and also clarified that  a committee has been formed for increase the retirement age of specialists in scientific and medical fields (scientists) to 64 years.  Last updates from parliament question session is also indicating that there is no proposal under consideration in this regard.   A senior official in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, which acts as nodal department for personnel matters, said there was no such proposal to increase the age for superannuation of government employees. 
"There is no proposal to increase the retirement age to 62 from 60 years. The Ministry is not working on any such proposal," the official said. // zee news //

From 15th July onwards the word of “telegram”  is  no more . Only we express code no 100 (My deepest condolence) to telegram. Business as usual is definitely a old technique. As per the needs of the customer we have to change our business strategy . After diminish  of  telegram what is the alternative mode of  fast communication like telegram. Let us think about it? . Generally telegram offers wishes and urgent matters in connection with legal, employees issues leave, extension of leave etc,. through authentic department.   e-Post is really excellent  channel  to replace the telegram. More options like Scan copy is also available. There is a need to popularize this service as an alternative to good byeing “telegram”. // viewers are request to share some innovative ideas !!!!  //

CBI raid in post office fraud :

ROURKELA: A CBI team raided houses of a post master and a Class IV postal employee here on Friday (14.06.2013)  in connection with the alleged embezzlement of funds from account holders of Dumdapara sub-post office under Biramitrapur post office. The CBI officials refused to divulge details regarding the raid. According to sources, a couple of account holders of the sub-post office in December, 2012, found that they had no money in their accounts even though their passbooks suggested otherwise. Following complaint of some customers, a departmental inquiry was initiated against post master Pradeep Lakra and Class IV employee Ram Dayal Sharma. They were transferred to elsewhere. During inquiry, it was revealed that deposited amount of many account holders was withdrawn through fake signatures. Later, the duo was suspended and CBI took over the case.

Undelivered postal articles found at postman's room

 Thriruvananthapuram:  Undelivered postal articles, including 924 book posts, 251 letters and LIC health cards kept in six packets were found in a rented room of a post man, employed on a temporary basis, in the district, police said. Police seized the articles on Friday after information was received from the house owner, who opened the room when the postman was away as he had not paid rent for the last few months. The articles were listed, sealed and handed over to the Thonnakkal post office, police said. The postman, Sam, was missing for the last few days. Besides these articles, cheque books sent from banks and two appointment orders from Public Service Commission were also found in his room, the source said.  Postal department sources said they would take action against Sam for not distributing the postal items and file a complaint before police. A circular would be sent to all post offices in the division not to employ him any more. The articles would soon be delivered by the permanent postman after processing, they said.  


 Postmaster kills self accusing seniors of 'harassment'
MYSORE: 15 June 2013. A postal department employee committed suicide by consuming poison allegedly due to harassment by higher-ups at Konanur in Periyapatna taluk.
When contacted, senior superintendent of postal department, D Shivaiah told to  times of india,  Jalendra was kept under suspension following charges of misappropriation of funds. He explained that three months ago ack there were charges of misconduct as he allegedly didn't deposit recurring deposit (RD) amount into customers account. During an inspection, Jalendra was found forging customers signatures and drawing money, Shivaiah said, adding preliminary investigation had shown that Jalendra had drawn Rs 2,000 from a customer's account by using fake specimen.It was confirmed during investigation and inspector relieved him from service pending departmental inquiry.

Shivaiah ruled out any harassment from senior officials. There were enough chances for Jalendra to defend himself if he has not committed any mistake, he said. //times of India//
