A.P is divided as two states. People elected two “chandras” for lightening their futures.  One is   Sri N. “Chandra”babu naidu for A.P and other is Sri K. “Chandra” sekhar Rao for  Telangana state.  Perhaps this  shows unity in diversity.

CREATION OF  “TELANGANA POSTAL CIRCLE ”  :  -


 Uttarakhand  is the 27th state of India. It came into existence on 9th November 2000. Consequently, Uttarakhand Postal Circle was formed on 12 January 2001,carved out of the erstwhile UP Circle, of which Dehradun was a regional HQ. With a vast network of 2718 Post Offices, 2513 of them in rural areas of the state, the Chief Postmaster General manages UTTARAKHAND POST with Headquarters at the State Capital, GPO, Dehradun.  Similarly   Jharkhand  , Chhattisghar  Postal circles were created after formation  of new states . Same as we expect the another Postal Circle “Telangana”  with Hyderabad GPO  in feature.  The present Postal circles are 22 + 1 APS .

$ 1.9 Billion LOSS :  USPS Quarter 2nd  Financial Results
May 09, 2014 – USPS ended the second quarter of the 2014 fiscal year (Jan. 1-March 31, 2014) with a net loss of $1.9 billion. “The Postal Service is working diligently to improve its finances by streamlining our network to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs and increase revenue, which was up $379 million over the same period last year — the third straight quarter of revenue increase,” said PMG Pat Donahoe. “Despite aggressive cost-cutting actions, however, we will still incur annual inflationary cost increases of approximately $1.2 billion each year, and First-Class Mail volume continues to decline.” //Source: about.usps.com.//

Informal meeting held with Postmasters Association:-
Informal meeting at C.O, Hyderabad with Postmasters Association  held today evening.   Sri DSK Prasad,Circle Secretary & Sri YSR Srinivas, President of Association participated. The promotional issues of  Grade-II, Grade- III have been discussed.   Filling up of  Postmasters Grade-II is under process.  Gradation list of Postmasters Grade- I is under finalization stage.

E.B Meeting of Postmasters Association :-  There will a Executive Body meeting on 25.05.2014, 10.00 a.m at Vijayanagar colony , Hyderabad to discuss burning issues of cadre and take  further move on the issues.  It is requested all the  E.B members plus  All Grade-II postmasters  should attend the meeting. Main agenda is :-

1.    Cadre restructuring issues of  Postmaster Cadre.
2.    Promotion issues of  Grade- II Postmasters.
3.    CAT case issues in respect of Grade –III
4.    7th CPC  issues.

5. Other issues of the  cadre.
