How it works:-
Step 1. First initialize the
location using GPS (Geographic
position) system available in mobile. (
Through this the mobile set fix the Letter box location latitude and longitude
measures )
Step : 2 : Open Letter
Box and BARCODE (which is fixed to each LB) is to be scanned through the pre loaded soft ware in mobile.
Step 3 : Enter no
of letters posted in the Box to be entered on mobile
screen.
Public would know the clearness of LB on which date and time through the web
site :

LENGTH
OF SERVICE FOR LSG/ HSG-II for getting promotions :-
After publication
of HSG II New Recruitment Rules (few months back) and HSG-I New Recruitment
Rules (two days back) many officials are under the impression that the length
of qualifying service in LSG & HSG-II for next promotion is changed for all
officials as per the new Recruitment Rules. It is not so. In the HSG-II and
HSG-I Recruitment Rules there is a clause which states that as far as the
existing LSG & HSG II officials (as on date of publication of the new RRs)
the length of service as per the old Recruitment Rules is enough for promotion
of HSG II and HSG-I. The new length of service condition is applicable only to
those officials who get promotion to LSG & HSG II after the notification of
the new RRs. All Circle / Divisional Secretaries are requested to bring the
above important clause to the notice of all concerned, so that eligible
employees will not be denied promotion.
2. Earlier IP
Line officials are posted against HSG-I Postmasters post on promotion as ASP.
As per the new HSG-I Recruitment Rules all the HSG-I posts are earmarked for
promotion to General line HSG-II officials and there is no IP line posts in the
HSG-I now. Circle
Secretaries are requested to take up the case with chief PMGs to fill up all
HSG-I posts (including IP line posts) by granting promotion to General line
HSG-II officials with three years HSG-II service. Source://nfpe.blogspot.com//

FAST NEWS …,
1). Business
Parcel & Express parcel COD in non-ePayment offices
At
present COD facility for Business Parcel/Express parcel consignment is restricted to
the offices which have ePayment facility including linked BOs. As this
restriction was adversely affecting the business and
at the same time since there was a number
of requests from the
Circles as well as
customers to provide booking facility
of COD articles to those locations also which do not
have e Payment facility at present, competent
authority has ordered to allow booking of COD parcels to such PIN
Codes also with effect from 01.08.2014.
2). Waterproof
Rakhi envelope from India
Post
As all of us know, Rakhi Envelopes are being sold through Post Offices for last few years. Sale of Rakhi envelopes through Post Offices was introduced to promote tamperproof & waterproof packaging
solution to the customers for sending Rakhi. Since the
Rakhi festival is celebrated during monsoon season when the
atmosphere is very humid, paperenvelopes may
not be able to deliver Rakhi in good condition. It also helps in brand building
of India Post as the envelopes are specially designed with India Post logo. But still some offices have not
received such envelopes for sale.
3) Meeting held at WCTC on CBS issues :-
