100 – years of   “ PRADHAMANDHRA MAHASABHA” –Special Postal Cover Released : 
BAPATLA (Guntur)   :25.MAY 2013: Recalling the sacrifices made by Telugu stalwarts (strong) of yesteryears (past), Union minister of state for petroleum Smt. Panabaka Lakshmi on Friday said a separate state for Telugu people was realised only because of the dedication of freedom fighters of the region. She said people should be proud of having a separate state for Telugu speaking population as Telugu is considered as the sweetest language in the country. She said the Pradhamandhra Mahasabha (first conference of Andhras) held in Bapatla in 1913 sowed the seeds for the movement for a separate state.
The first meeting of Pradhamandhra Mahasabha held over two days between May 26 and 27 about 100 years ago.  Commemorating the first meeting was a privilege for all the Telugu speaking people.
The Union minister  released the specially designed postal cover by the postal department. Pradhamandhra Mahasabha celebrations would conclude on Sunday in which TN Governor  Hon’ble Sri K Rosaiah and several cabinet ministers will participate.     //times of India  hyd 25.05.2013//
