VISAKHAPATNAM: Next time you send a letter or a greeting card to friends or relatives through post, you can opt for a personalised stamp with a photo of your own or that of a family member imposed on a Rs 5 stamp, under the 'My Stamp' programme launched by India Post in the city on Saturday.  The move is aimed at offering individuals and corporates a personalised feel of stamps. 

"Anybody can approach the post office for a personalised stamp," said post master general Sharda Sampath. All you need to do is either take a hard copy or soft copy of your photograph or get yourself clicked at the Vizag Head Post Office at One Town Area and pay Rs 300 to get a sheet of 12 stamps with your own photo superimposed on the personalised stamps. Corporates too can get their company logos printed on the stamps, but will have to place a minimum order for 500 sheets.  Just like other stamps, these personalised stamps can be used on envelopes and greeting cards for postal transmission.
