‘No inter-state
roaming (BSNL) for successor States till 2024’

General Manager (Andhra Pradesh
Telecom Circle ) V.Srinivasan has said there will
be no charge of inter-state roaming between Telangana and the residuary State
until 2024, when the license of spectrum ends, even after the division of
Andhra Pradesh. A
new spectrum auction would be conducted in 2024 separately for the two States
when it would be eligible for charging the customers for inter-sate roaming. However,
he expected that Union Ministry of Telecommunications would divide the AP Telecome Circle AP Circle during
2014-15 financial year as the stage had been set for the State division.
